| In these units Nitrogen is produced by utilizing a combination of filtration and membrane separation technologies. A high efficiency pre-filtration system pre-treats the customer supplied compressed air to remove all contaminates down to 0.01 micron. Hollow fiber membranes subsequently separate the clean air into a concentrated Nitrogen output stream and an Oxygen enriched permeate stream which is vented from the system. These systems operate silently and are sized to the application depending on the number of injection ports on the evaporator. Most applications can utilize 98% Nitrogen purity, with the 2% balance being Oxygen. Higher purities can be obtained for more sensitive applications. |
